Southern Prospects 2011-2016
The newly revised South Coast Regional Strategy for NRM was launched in Albany in early September 2011 containing a vision for the next five years of natural resource management investment.
A product of well over 3,000 hours of community contributions and in excess of 30 meetings across the region, the revision has been a rigorous 12 month process involving all sectors of the NRM Community.
Southern Prospects 2011-2016 is intended to strengthen the region's ability to work effectively to protect the environment. It analyses the values and conditions of the region's resources and ensures that the five theme areas (land, water, biodiversity, cultural heritage) and the overarching consideration of regional capacity are considered holistically.
